After our previous accountant retired, we were nervous about trying anyone new. However, we were presently surprised by the level
of service that Advantage Accounting provided. They were extremely knowledgeable. After our return was finished, they also recommended we talk to
our employer about a 125 Cafeteria plan in order to deduct our medical expenses. We estimate that our 2009 savings for this plan will be close to $1,500! For years, I have always gone to H&R Block. However, my return has grown more complicated with my business so I finally decided to go to a CPA.
Not only did Accounting Advantage find additional deductions such as mileage and per diem that H&R Block missed, they were cheaper! The additional deductions
saved me close to $2,000. They even sat down with me for over an hour to explain additional deductions that I was entitled to take going forward and how I
could better keep track of my expenses in the future.
We dread tax season every year. With our various investment accounts, we have an extensive amount of stock transactions. We asked our investment advisor for
a basis schedule and they refused. Apparently, they were not keeping track of our transactions since we have had the account since the early 1980s. We went to
several CPA firms, but they kept referring us back to the investment advisor for a schedule. After a lot of back and forth, a friend recommended Advantage Accounting.
They combed through over 25 years of statements and created a basis schedule for only $300. We were afraid that we weren't going to be able file an accurate return,
and they somehow managed to get it all straightened out for a very reasonable fee.
