In addition to the annual filing requirements, we often meet with our client's on a quarterly basis to assist them with planning
techniques, estimated tax payments, and correspondence to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) letters.
PAYROLL
Federal:
- Form 941, Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return to report FICA and FIT withholding
- Form 940, Employer's Annual Federal Unemployment (FUTA) Tax Return
State:
- Labor and Industries (LNI) Tax Return
- State Unemployment (SUTA) Tax Return
In addition, to any quarterly or annual reporting requirements, we are also trained in Automatic Data Processing (ADP)
to assist businesses with paying their employees. If ADP Processing is not in place, we can also assist with other data
processing services or with hand calculations.
CONTROLLER/CFO
Many small businesses can not afford to hire a full-time permanent controller or chief financial officer. Therefore, we work closely
with businesses to assist them either on a part-time or temporary basis with this higher level of service.
Typical duties vary by company but may include:
- Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts
- Reconciling and analyzing balance sheet and material income statement accounts, including review supporting documentation
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
- Preparing financial statements
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviewing proper segregation of duties
- Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
- Supervising and training accounting staff or bookkeepers
- Assuring compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
